YOU ARE INVITED!
To the 8th Annual TSCBF Art Show Fundraiser, November 2nd
The Taylor Statten Camping Bursary Fund is pleased to invite you to our 8th Annual Art Show and Sale "Far and Wide". The event is being held at the Storys Building in Toronto, on Thursday, November 2nd, and will feature 35 Canadian artists – from painters to sculptors to multimedia artists - with the work inspired by our great country, in this our 150th year.
Among the featured artists are Steve McDonald, David Marshak, and Elzbieta Krawecka – all widely shown across North America, Central America, Asia, and Europe.
Some of the individuals and institutions holding their pieces are: The British Royal family, Royal St. George’s College, The Molson Family, ScotiaBank, The Weston Family, Gord Downie, The Government of Ontario Art Collection, the Royal Canadian Yacht Club, Sarah Harmer, and BMO.
Last year’s show had over 300 attendees and raised $26,000.00 that sent 76 deserving children to summer camps across Canada! In 2017, the Fund helped finance memorable camper summers at a cost of $120k - both double our historical averages - at nine camps in Ontario, Quebec, and Alberta. Over our 40+ years of sending kids to camp we are proud to have helped fund over 1,300 summer camp experiences and we are working hard to ensure there are another 1,300 to come.
Additionally for the 2nd year we are pleased to have made a contribution to Glen Bernard’s Syrian Camper program. In 2016, GBC welcomed 24 Syrian children to camp and this year they have expanded their program to 44 campers.
As the Art Show approaches, we will be sharing pieces of work that will appear in the show via Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/tscbf/), Instagram (@tscbf), and www.tscbf.com, as well as posting a catalogue for Far and Wide.
Hope to see you there.
