Direct ways to make a financial gift to the fund. TSCBF is 100% volunteer-run with very low overhead, so approximately 95% of every dollar donated goes directly to a camper’s summer. Tax receipts are issued for all eligible gifts.

Gifts of securities

Donating publicly traded securities—such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and similar investments—directly to TSCBF can be one of the most tax-efficient ways to give. When you donate securities in kind, you pay no capital gains tax on the accrued gain—and you receive a charitable donation tax receipt for the full fair market value on the date of transfer.

This means a gift of appreciated securities typically provides a larger after-tax benefit than selling the shares first and donating the proceeds.

Common examples include:

  • Publicly traded shares listed on a recognized stock exchange
  • Government and corporate bonds
  • Mutual fund units

To arrange a transfer of securities, we will provide brokerage details and coordinate directly with your financial institution. We recommend consulting your financial advisor or tax professional to confirm the tax treatment for your specific situation.

  • Art Show & Sale — sponsor the evening and receive recognition among 200+ attendees from the camp and arts community
  • Alumni Hockey Tournament — buy ice time or sponsor a team to help cover venue costs and keep the event accessible
